Amazing colors! Romanian handwoven rug 238x144cm

This beautiful romanian rug is just amazing! Beautiful hypnotic colors and geometrical design, it will embellish a modern or classical decor matching also scandinavian or minimalist design. It was made in south romania, midle of the XX century, it is a vintage item but in very good shape and colors, never been used, it was perfectly preserved on the dowry. In that part of romania, years ago, every mom handmade for her daughters beautiful carpets and rugs as dot for their weddings. I grown up with this: every winter, at my grandmother' s house, women from the village, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool rugs or other handmade items. Nowadays the art of handcrafting rugs is almost extinguished. Now, we are trying to discover and put into the modern design context these beauties. This is our story.
