A bronze base, solid and sculptural, rises with the dignity of objects meant to last. Above it, a delicate shade softens the light and reveals the subtle detail of a bronze-cast farm animal that tells a deeper story. This lamp is rooted in memories of the countryside and family; marked by simplicity, nature and closeness. Natural imperfections in the rawhide and patina are part of the lamp’s unique character. The rawhide is hand-formed and stretched, its translucence revealing the organic irregularities that make it beautiful. The braided leather, worked by hand, draws on one of the oldest techniques in human craft: used for centuries to bind, protect and embellish — now illuminate it.
