Description. Imposing and elegant wall mirror made in northern Italy between the 1950s and 1960s, inspired by decorative models of the Baroque and Rococo. The structure is made of finely carved solid wood and features a rich decoration composed of acanthus leaves, scrolls, and plant motifs. The upper part is adorned with an important sculpted crest that gives the whole a very architectural and decorative presence. The surface is patinated in dark tones and enhanced with gold leaf applied using the traditional technique known as "mecca." The deep and well-defined reliefs testify to high-quality artisanal work, typical of Italian decorative production from the mid-20th century. With its generous proportions and sculptural decor, this mirror is a true decorative element, ideal for a living room, an entrance, or a reception room. The mirror shows a slight patina of time that enhances its character and authenticity.
