De 1940 à 1947, il a étudié l'architecture à Stockholm, avant de designer les légendaires étagères mural String. Ce système d'étagères a gagné depuis son lancement en 15 prix international et est toujours considéré comme moderne. Nisse Strining est mort en 2006 mais on héritage est toujours bien vivant. Nisse Strinning passed by in 2006, but his legacy is still alive. He was one of the greatest designer, which made Sweden very famous in the middle of former century.
