Pair of tubular armchairs model S 411, mid-20th century

Pair of armchairs based on the S 411 model, produced in Europe in the mid-20th century. The design follows functionalist and Bauhaus principles, characterised by the use of bent tubular steel and a cantilevered structure. Each armchair features a chrome steel frame with a cantilevered base, providing a slight spring effect. The seats and backs are newly upholstered in turquoise fabric, complemented by wooden armrests that contrast with the metal structure. The pair is in very good condition after renovation and reupholstering. This type of model was historically produced by Thonet and other manufacturers from Central Europe. Offered as a matching pair.
