Piece with history and timeless design. Sideboard in Rio rosewood and African mahogany. Two door front with elegantly integrated handles and brass fittings. Inside with pull-out trays and drawers in African mahogany. This is a very high quality piece of furniture, which was manufactured for retail sale. It shows normal signs of wear. Its overall condition is very good. About the author: Svend Langkilde, trained at the Copenhagen School of Design and with a background at the iconic Georg Jensen, founded Langkilde Design in 1953, leaving an indelible mark with his designs characterised by simple, elegant forms and impeccable attention to detail and functionality. His work won international awards, including the gold medal at the Milan Triennale (1957) and the Danish Industrial Design Award (1962), and is part of collections in such prestigious museums as the MoMA in New York.
