A pair of "Sandows" chairs designed by Rene Herbst, Bauhaus, from the 1980s. In original and very good condition. The "Sandows" chair by Rene Herbst was first presented in 1931 in photos of Robert Lallemant's showroom. It was rediscovered in the 1980s. The production of chairs was resumed by the Parisian company Ecart International. The "Sandows Chair" in a lower version and without armrests is exhibited in a permanent exhibition at MoMA in New York. A beautiful, timeless design. An icon of world design.
