Chaise vintage GE525 de Hans Wegner pour Getama

Magnificent GE 525 armchair by Hans J. Wegner, produced by Getama in the early 1960s (1960-1965). Solid oak structure, characteristic rounded backrest of Wegner, and impeccable finishes. Upholstered in light orange wool. Under the seat, there is the burned Getama stamp, typical of productions from the 1950s to the mid-1960s. Next to it, a rare retailer label from Bryssel Bolig (noted "N° 114" and "N° 28") attests to its history. Bryssel Bolig was a renowned Danish furniture and furnishings retailer, active during the golden age of modern Danish design. Their numbered labels were used for showroom inventory and special orders, meaning this armchair was part of an interior designed at the height of the Danish design movement. A Danish masterpiece with a true Danish story! Condition: Very good vintage condition, with a warm patina and slight signs of wear. Light moisture marks under the feet (slightly darkened), otherwise in perfect condition. A timeless and highly sought-after Wegner piece.
